All --
I have recently updated the Capt. Dave Blog. I've also enhanced the left side tool bar and added a couple of useful features-- Raccoon Lake current weather, "scribe to the blog" ability, and a "HOW TO" section containing pointers on tying fishing knots (Rayman, I added that to address Irwin's last year repeated lure loss). Please check this area frequently, as I have a few other enhancements in mind.
In addition, I've activated the "auto notify" feature available in blogger, so now when I publish updates, each of you will recieve an automated notification. Please let me know how this feature works out, or if it creates any problems for you.
Fishin' season is nearly here!

Spring Tune-Up Scheduled

Spring preparations for the Boat Scheduled !!
I've completed the maintenance and re-charging of the crank and trolling batteries.
I'll be taking them to Reeder and Trausche Marine Tuesday March 10th, they said the spring tune up could be finished as soon as this weekend!
I am sure a brief shake down cruise will follow.
Then it's open season !

Spring Time Fishin' is Fast Approachin'
Be on the lookout for the first signs and wonders of spring--
* Trees burst with bright green buds
* Robins and feathered fowl return from their winter havens
* Bulbs push up in the garden catching their first sights of the heavens
* Baseball bats swing and spring training begins
* It stops snowing (trust me it will stop)
* Balmy temperatures are the norm
* Springtime allergies return
Capt Dave made his first (of many) tackle purchase for 2009.
Most importantly, those of you who possess your own tackle, take a few moments to perform a spring tune up on your rods, reels, and tackle. Please email Capt. Dave your tackle needs / wish list, I am planning a trip to BassPro in Clarksville, IN in the very near future.
